Home Education Forest School Sessions – Tuesdays, 12:15–13:45 Join us for our weekly Forest School sessions designed especially for home-educated and flexi-schooled children aged 5–10 years. Held every Tuesday from 12:15 to 13:45, these sessions provide a nurturing, inspiring outdoor learning environment where children can grow in confidence, creativity, and connection with nature. 🍂 This Term (Up to Christmas) In the lead-up to Christmas, we’ll be running 90-minute sessions that families can choose to drop off for, stay for, or enjoy a mix of both.These introductory sessions are all about helping children get comfortable in the woodland space, getting to know our team, and welcoming grown-ups into our Forest School community. 🌿 From the New Year Onwards As our community continues to grow, we hope to extend this into a four-hour session, allowing children even more time to immerse themselves in nature-based learning (with flexibility for families as needed). 🌳 What to Expect Through a child-led approach, children will have the freedom to explore, play, and develop essential skills such as confidence, resilience, and teamwork. Each week, activities are guided by the children’s interests and may include: 🌲 Child-led exploration and play 🛖 Den building 🔥 Campfire cooking 🪵 Tool use 🍂 Woodland crafts 🐾 Nature discovery We encourage parents to drop off their children to help foster independence, though we understand that this can take time — and we’re happy to support each family’s journey at their own pace. Please ensure your child brings a packed lunch, water bottle, and is dressed appropriately for the weather and outdoor play. 🌱 Looking to the Future Our vision for this beautiful woodland space is to grow into a flexible, nature-based learning environment that blends Forest School principles with project-based and creative education. Once our log cabin is complete, we’ll begin developing a child-led learning space that nurtures curiosity, independence, and community spirit from the ground up.
