Service Description

Home Education and Flexi School Forest School Sessions Tuesdays | 10:00–11:45 Join us for our weekly Forest School sessions, thoughtfully designed for home-educated and flexi-schooled children aged 5–10 years. Held every Tuesday from 10:00–11:45, these sessions offer a nurturing and inspiring outdoor learning environment where children can build confidence, creativity, and a deep connection with nature. 🌿 Spring Term 2026 We run 1 hour 45 minute sessions, giving families the flexibility to drop off, stay, or enjoy a mix of both. A Toddler and Grown-Up session runs at the same time as our Home Education / Flexi-School session. Both groups begin and end together around the fire circle, before the Home Ed and Flexi-School children head off into their own dedicated woodland area. Families with younger siblings (5 and under) are very welcome to attend both sessions, allowing siblings to enjoy the woodland together in age-appropriate ways. 🌳 What to Expect Our sessions follow a child-led Forest School approach, allowing children the freedom to explore, play, and learn at their own pace. Through meaningful outdoor experiences, children develop essential life skills such as confidence, resilience, independence, and teamwork. Weekly activities are guided by the children’s interests and may include: 🌲 Child-led exploration and imaginative play 🛖 Den building 🔥 Campfire cooking 🪵 Safe tool use 🍂 Woodland crafts 🐾 Nature discovery and wildlife exploration While we encourage parents to drop off children to support independence, we understand that this can take time. We’re happy to support each family’s journey and work at a pace that feels right for you and your child. 🧺 What to Bring Please ensure your child brings: - A water bottle - Weather-appropriate clothing suitable for outdoor play 🌱 Looking to the Future Our vision for this beautiful woodland space is to grow into a flexible, nature-based learning environment, blending Forest School principles with creative and project-based education. Once our log cabin is complete, we’ll begin developing a truly child-led learning space that nurtures curiosity, independence, and a strong sense of community — built from the ground up. 💫 Coming Soon A dedicated Forest School session for neurodivergent children will be launching soon. If your child would benefit from a smaller group size and higher staffing ratio, this may be the perfect fit — watch this space.
